Neurotransmitter: HPA Testing

     Assesses the six neurotransmitters (serotonin, dopamine, norpeinephrine, epinephrine, GABA, glutamate) that affect the hypothalamic-pituitary axis (HP), as well as the adrenal hormones cortisol and DHEA. The HPA axis initiates the adrenal response. This profile helps assess how well the neurotransmitters are responding. Therapeutic decisions can then be based on the information provided by the test.
